| To raise funds for the 2006 Memory Walk, I enlisted the help of several volunteers to become Team Grandpop's Kisses. We organized a Basket Bingo which was held on Sunday, October 1st at the Severna Park Elks Lodge. When it was all said and done, we had raised over $6600 for Memory Walk 2006 and the Greater Maryland Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Once again I was overwhelmed by the help, support and love we received at this event. Everyone had a great time and everyone was a winner! As Team Captain, I won the 2nd Place metal for our particular walk, however, this metal is more representative of our whole team. | We had 26 filled baskets donated to us for our regular games, special bingos, raffles and special raffle we sold tickets for prior to our big bingo day. We also had 40 door prizes donated by area businesses and supporters. |
| I was very happy that Grandmom and Grandpop were able to attend the basket bingo and partake in the games, though they didn't win anything. |
| Not only was Grandmom and Grandpop there, but much of the Bland family and lots of friends were there from far and near, too! |
| We had a good amount of supporters from all over Maryland and we truly appreciate everyone coming out to support us! |
